Celia Aurora Cruz Espinoza

Celia Celia Cruz Espinoza was born April 5, 1972.  She came from a large family with 10 brothers and sisters.  She has five children, two girls and three boys. She is excited about learning, about how children grow and how this knowledge can transform families.  She is very interested in helping mothers learn alternative methods to physcial punishment as a form of discipline and to intervene in cases of domestic violence.  She studies each day hoping to pass the knowledge to her children and to share with her commuinty and hope she someday can return to school to finish her high school education.  One dream of hers is to go to the university and become a teacher for her country.  She enjoys speaking with other mothers and loves to give story hours each week to the children in her community, she does this by reading stories, playing games with the parachute, and singing songs.  Most of her stories contain messages for living life more peacefully and democratically.
