Luisa with two of the children from La Chureca who visit Jalapa to continue their education and radio program. Luisa offers her home to the children while in Jalapa.
Luisa lives in Limonera, about 6 kilometers outside of Jalapa with her three grown sons. She has one grandson who lives in Champaingy. She has been the infant and toddler teacher in Champaingy for quite some time. She is also an original member of PIEAT and the oldest member. One of her passions is to stop domestic violence. Not only does she work on individual cases PIEAT finds during home visits, she also volunteers with the local woman's organization OYANCA. Luisa is magical with children, reading the child's cues and able to connect emotionally with children experiencing difficulty.
